Fundraisers

We have different ways in helping our school to raise money. Below are ways you can help in your everyday lives.

Rake-A-Thon: This annual event takes place when the students, teachers and parent volunteers take an afternoon in mid-October to go into our community and rake the yards of elderly or handicapped individuals who have notified the school. Groups of students from each grade are supervised by teachers and parents who have volunteered to help out and are transported to the various sites by cars. The childern return to the school in plenty of time to have a snack and catch their bus home.  Each year a date is set but it does depend on whether a majority of the leaves have fallen and if the weather cooperates with us.  This is one of our biggest fundraisers and the kids really enjoy it.  Call the school if you want to volunteer this year.

Mardi Gras Dinner and Auction: This annual event takes place at the end of Catholic Schools Week (usually at the end of January or the beginning of February). We convert our gymnasium into an elegant dining experience, complete with a wide variety of games and entertainment. Running concurrently with the dinner, we also have a large and diverse silent auction. The evening concludes with an exciting live auction, featuring many different local donors.  This has, historically, been our largest fundraiser of the year!

Calendars: This is the last of our “big three” fundraisers. Families are asked to sell calendars that feature photographs of Cathedral School students, the upcoming year’s school schedule, and highlights many different Christian celebrations.  In addition, many businesses take advantage of the opportunity to advertise in our calendar.  This fundraiser has been growing in importance in recent years!

Box Tops for Education Program:     Clip the Box Tops logos from more than 330 participating General Mills products, and turn them into cash  for your favorite school.

This simple idea has become a favorite fundraiser for over 60,000 K-8 schools nationwide.

It's easy to participate.

1. Collect Box Tops.
2. Send your Box Tops to the Cathedral School
3. Your school sends the Box Tops in and the Cathedral receives a check.

Take Charge of Education Program”:   Sponsored by Target Stores

For inkjets, we get paid up to $1.00, for laser, fax and copier  cartridges, we get paid up to $8.00.
