1st and 3rd Grade Buddies welcomed home their "Flat Stanleys" after they made their way across the United States. The students read through journals that told stories about where their Flat Stanley visited and learned about different places in the United States.

The 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral School got a mini lesson in carpentry. Tim and Brenda Froeber supplied the materials and did the teaching. The students were pretty excited about their new creations!

The 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral enjoyed dressing up 50's and 60's style. They just completed a unit in Social looking back at the past: life styles, technology, and entertainment.

Cathedral School 1st Grader's wrapped up their Junior Achievement program by touring RiverView Hospital. The students stopped in Radiology, Cardiology and Physical Therapy.

Cathedral School 1st and 3rd Grade Buddies designed TRASH MONSTERS. To celebrate Earth Day they walked the ground of the school and Mount Saint Benedict picking up garbage.

Cathedral School 4th, 5th and 6th Graders participated in an Archery Unit in Phy Ed Class. The program was made possible through a grant from the Archery School Program and Funded by the West Polk County Deer Association and the National Wild Turkey Federation.

Brad Brekken from Bremer Bank with the 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral School. Brad is teaching the class about the city zoning and what it takes to be an entrepreneur. He will spend five sessions with the students as a volunteer through the Junior Achievement Program in Crookston.

Every Friday the students at Cathedral School have the opportunity to participate in the Stations of the Cross.

The 4th grade class has been studying immigrants in reading class. We have had so much fun. As an ending project each student research a famous immigrant and make a booklet and poster. They also had the opportunity to earn extra credit if they came dressed as that person did when they entered America.

The Kindergarten class had a Valentine Tea date with their mothers on Valentine's Day.

UMC Entomologist, Ian MacRae, visited the Cathedral School 1st Graders bringing over 100 bugs for them to view on their 100th day of school.

Cathedral School Kindergarten and 1st Graders celebrated the 100th Day of School at Cathedral on Wednesday, February 13th. Pictured are the Kindergarteners after finding 100 hearts hiding in their classroom.

Cathedral School students were treated to a visit from the Science Museum in ST. Paul. Students watched as Parker Kaufman's hair started to stand on end as each hair became negatively charged and repelled each other.

The Cathedral School held four mini units on Friday morning wrapping up a week full of events during Catholic Schools Week. Guest speakers were Rand Hughes, photography; Jane Vigness, Bee Keeping; Neil Plante, Knights of Columbus; and Stephanie Olson, Nutritionist.

Crookston High School Seniors that graduated from Cathedral School returned for a rematch of the annual Teachers vs. 6th grade volleyball game. The seniors took the set 2 games to 1.

The 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral just finished a unit on the Titanic. They spent the day building one of their own. Then they actually tested it in the water. All Titanics stayed a float!

Army Specialist Jordan Reese, Marine Corporal Mike Kraft, and Army Private Mitch Kraft visited Cathedral School this week. They are pictured with Laurie Erickson's First Grade class. They spoke to the children about their jobs and responsibilities in the military. Mike Kraft and Jordan Reese also shared about their experiences and duties while serving in Iraq. Jordan is the son of Patti and Greg Reese of Crookston. The Kraft boys are the sons of Tamy and Steve Kraft of Crookston.

Cathedral School Students will present "The Tale of the Drowsy Shepherd" at 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 18 at the Cathedral Church. The community is invited to witness the story of Jesus' birth from the perspective of Aaron the drowsy shepherd.

The 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral just finished up their unit on Wild Turkeys. They received pencils, rulers, and bookmarks, thanks to Bill Kresl and the National Wild Turkey Federation.

Linda Swenson teaches the 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral how to make Tamales. The students did a great job and and enjoyed sampling them when done!
