The Cathedral School will present their annual spring program entitled "GPS" (God's Plan of Salvation) tonight at 7pm in the Cathedral Church. Students learn from their GPS the right path to take on Earth!

Cathedral School students lined up at the starting line for the 100 yard dash, to kick off their annual Track and Field Day. Students participated in running events, the three legged race, high jump, long jump and softball throw.

The 4th - 6th Graders at Cathedral School wind up their Archery Unit. With the help of the (West Polk County Deer Association and the National Wild Turkey Federation Team Camo Chapter) Cathedral School students get hands on experience. Thanks to Ladonna Peterson, the Phy. Ed. teacher and Bill Kresl who was instrumental in bringing the program to the school.

Cathedral School held its annual Learning Fair on Monday evening. Students participated by designing projects in a variety of academic areas. Projects were on display in the gym for students to demonstrate the community to observe.

First and Third Grade Buddies at Cathedral School took some time out of their work day to celebrate Earth Day. The buddies recycled paper bags their parents got when grocery shopping and turned them into TRASH MONSTERS. They collected garbage around the Cathedral and Highland Complex.

On Tuesday afternoon the Red River Valley Zoo paid a visit to the Cathedral School Students. The zoo brought a Box Turtle, a Bearded Dragon Lizard, a Tree Frog, a King Snake and a Tennessee Possum. After explaining each animal, the presenter brought them around for the students to pet.

On Tues, April 14, the Cathedral School 5th Grade traveled to the River View Nursing Home for their monthly visit, and performed their play "Miss Louisa and the Outlaws" for the residents. They will also be performing this play for their parents and school on Thursday, April 16.

Kindergarten Teacher Teresa Cymbaluk shows her dinosaur exhibit to visitors during the Cathedral School Spring Open House held Monday evening. The night opened with the choir performing a few selections, followed by supper, Bingo and classroom visits.

The Science Museum from St. Paul gave a presentation on Solids, Liquids, and Gases at Cathedral School on Tuesday, March 24th. The students looked on with anticipation.

Cathedral School students presented Sister Anne McNamara, of the Presentation Sisters, a check for $422 to buy supplies for her mission in Slovakia. The children held a three week quarter drive to raise money to help the Presentation Sisters in their efforts.

The RSVP Readers visited Cathedral School students to celebrate February's "I Love To Read Month." The group, dressed in character, performed the stories "Hen Hears Gossip" and "Joe Cinders."

Tamy Kraft, 2nd Grade Teacher at Cathedral School, looks on as her mother, Sr. Stella Olson of the Presentation Convent from Fargo, ND, showed the Cathedral students souvenieres. Sr. Stella recently returned from a four month educational experience in Ireland, Slovokia, and India.

Seniors from CHS, who attended Cathedral School, visited the School during Catholic School's Week for a REMATCH of the famous Teachers VS. 6th Grade Volleyball Game. The Seniors defeated the Cathedral School Teachers then visited with the students about their favorite memory from attending Cathedral and their future plans. Cindy Altepeter was the special guest, representing her son Adam who was killed in a car accident in 2004.

The 3rd Grade Class at Cathedral just finished their Reading Unit on the Titanic. The students were all given a chance to build their own ship and try it out in the water. All ships stayed a float this year!

The 6th grade class was busy in school this week dissecting frogs as part of their science class. As you can see, some enjoyed it more than others.
